What
is Reiki?
Reiki
(pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy,
an energy which is all around us. Energy flows through our bodies
along energy pathways or meridians. If this energy becomes blocked
or stagnant then the body becomes vulnerable and illness or disease
can occur. The practitioner makes himself or herself into a channel
for the energy, which is drawn into the recipient at the point(s)
of the greatest need or imbalance. There is no belief system attached
to Reiki only a willing and openness to receive its gentle energies.
What
happens in a Reiki session?
Treatment
can be performed sitting or lying down. There is no necessity to remove
clothing which makes it particularly suitable for those who are weak
or fatigued. The practitioner gently places their hands in a sequence
of positions covering the whole body. You may be asked to think about
your own ‘healing intention’ which you are free to keep
to yourself.
How would it help me?
Reiki can help a wide variety of illnesses and disorders by boosting
energy at every level; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually
There are hundreds of stories of Reiki success from boosting of energy
levels to pain relief and improving the quality of life for the terminally
ill. Reiki supports all forms of treatment, both orthodox and complementary
It can help individuals become more focused and positive, thus assisting
with the stresses and strains of everyday life.
Who Can Be Treated?

Reiki can not cause harm it is suitable for almost everyone.
Can I have other treatment?
Reiki can also form part of other treatments if appropriate.
